Fragrance notes
Understanding how notes develop on skin helps you choose a fragrance you will still like at the end of the day.
Top notes
The first you perceive after spraying. Fresh and light — citrus, mint, bergamot, lavender — they last from a few minutes to half an hour and give the first impression.
Heart notes
They appear after fifteen to thirty minutes, form the main character of the fragrance, and last several hours. Often flowers, soft spices or fruits.
Base notes
The heaviest and most persistent. Woods, musks, amber, vanilla, resins. They appear after a few hours and can last all day. These are the ones memory keeps.
Why you should wait
Never judge a fragrance on its top notes alone: what you smell in the first second is not the finished scent. Spray on skin, wait thirty minutes, then decide.
